Samsung Releases New Laptop Line for the Holidays

After getting good results from their first foray into the Philippine's local mainstream laptop retail market with N150 & N22 netbooks, Samsung knew the next wave was forthcoming.

They immediately followed up the aforementioned models with N150 Plus, N220 Plus, R440 & R48. They also made sure to be ready come fourth quarter of 2010. Hence, Samsung recently unveiled the NF Series Netbooks, the SF Series NotePCs, and QX Series of Premium Notebooks.
NF Netbooks and SF NotePCs

Design and mobility for the younger age bracket are the focus of the NF Netbooks and SF NotePCs. It's for the youth-minded and style-conscious consmers

Samsung Philippines announced last month the launch of the SF series of ultra-portable notePCs and NF series netbooks. Without compromising on powerful performance and enhanced features, the Samsung SF Series notePCs and NF Series netbooks set a new standard for design in mobile computing.

The smooth wave on the netbook's side is what Samsung Philippines refers to as its 'shark design.' This is actually the most prominent aesthetic feature of the NF and SF Series.

Samsung NF310, NF210, NF110

The Samsung netbook NF310 has 'young and hip' written all over with its crystal clear HD LED display and unique surround sound system. Together with the new Intel® Atom™ N550 (Dual Core) processor*, DDR3 memory and Windows 7, it fulfills a young student's need without looking too geeky. 

NF 310 is also design to enjoy HD movies and images that are clear and picture perfect even in bright light with a high resolution (1366 x 768) widescreen and a proper 16:9 aspect ratio.

NF210 on the otheer hand, boasts of its extensive battery life of up to 11 hours (6 cell 8850mAh battery) while NF110, on affordable price.

The SF410 has a glossy ivory exterior, stylish mat-black interior and island-style keyboard. It has a 14” screen size and boasts of a durable case that has been constructed to be both ultra-light and scratch resistant.

Powered by Intel Core i5 dual-core processors, the SF series is expected to perform and maintain power efficiency.


QX Premium Notebooks

I say, this is for the professionals and executives. Still maintaining the sleek style in their Samsung notebooks, the QX series is all about power.

It employs a hybrid approach to graphic display where the internal Intel graphic processor is regularly used but automatically switches to the nVIDIA graphics card for displaying High-Definition video or gaming content.

Dedicated multimedia controls are also provided with powerful speakers and a bigger acoustic chamber enhanced by realistic 3D SRS Premium Sound.

Style without compromise

The streamlined body with airfoil design exterior makes the notebooks eye-catching and scratch-resistant. Theh durable case is a combination of aluminum LCD back and edge-to-edge LCD display, coupled with side-doors to hide a variety of connection ports. This ensures a smooth, unbroken design. The island keyboard and large, button-less Gesture pad, supporting a multi-finger interface to increase accuracy and speed are incorporated in this model as well.
