Smart is the Philippines' No. 1 Mobile Service Provider

Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) continues to be the number one mobile service provider in the Philippines, in terms of both subscriber base and revenues.


As of end-2014, Smart led the market in subscriber base, with over 56.4 million subscribers in its prepaid, postpaid, and broadband services.  Smart is also number one in terms of revenues, posting PHP 92.0 billion,  about 18% higher than the competition.

SMART and SUN CELLULAR

Sun Cellular

Together with Sun Cellular, the two wireless units of Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) further dominate the industry in terms of both subscriber base and revenues.

Smart and Sun combined, has the largest subscriber base, with 72.8 million subscribers.

The two wireless units also posted combined revenues of PHP114.5 billion as of end-2014,  about 47% higher than the competition, clearly giving the PLDT wireless group the strong and undisputed number one position in the mobile industry.
