New ASUS Eee Top Revealed

ASUS recently unveiled the new Eee Top ET16 Series that boasts of the full functionality of a desktop PC with a touch of the screen. It is equipped with a 15.6” slim LCD monitor with a touch panel from where a user can operate the PC by applying direct pressure onscreen with their fingertips.

Powered by Intel Atom N270, with hard disk drive space of 160GB, memory of 1GB, and packaged with Windows® XP operating system, it can be easily inferred to be a computer for the basic home user. It would be easy to use for new technology adapters since its windows based system and touch-responsive interface would surely make computing a convenient experience. Children would also have a great time with the interactivity provided by the single-touch screen using their fingers or pen input. Even old folks of the house would not have a hard time seeing the big icons on the 15.6” 16:9 wide panel LCD.
Strikingly a Mac look-alike, it however comes with a 1.3 MP camera, wireless keyboard, and mouse. It also comes at a cheaper price of Php 32,800. Not to be compared with the more affordable Eee family of laptops, this one seems to cater to the higher end of the market with its sleek design and packaged Windows® system for the common home user.
Other features include Eee Splendid™ Video Intelligence Technology, integrated Hi-Fi speakers and SRS TruSurround, ATI Mobility Radeon HD3450 graphics solution, and multimedia capabilities care of the Eee Cinema.
