Known for its laid-back casual clothing, Bobson raises up the bar with the relaunching of their Series II. It follows the successful 2005 R.E.D (Revolutionized Enhanced Denim) campaign of Bobson Denim bottoms.
Seeing a timely demand from its customers for a redefined fashion denim, Bobson Jeans intend to satisfy this need through its bolder and stylish line of Series II. Moreover, they are now including fashionable tops into the line.
With the name Series II, they intend to reveal the statements of Edgy, Progressive and Modern, incorporating new colors and washes, unique pocket details, appliqués, embroideries and finishes.
Each piece has a slanted red leather belt loop at the back which I think really looks cool (just as long as the tops does not cover it; LOL).
The pants were designed with larger back pockets, wider waistband, and a red facing combination. I have to say that I'm not a fan of large pockets though.
The pants varies from Classic Regular Straight Fit to my preferred Slim Fit that sits across the waist, relaxed at thighs and tapers slightly from the knee to bottom.
The ladies have fashion the Bootcut Fit and the in demand Skinny Fit that sits low on the waist, tight through the thigh and tapers all the way down to the bottom.
Bobson intends to continue to grow and evolve as a true lifestyle brand with this much awaited Revolutionized Enhanced Denim (R.E.D.) through SERIES II.
Bobson outlets can be found in most SM, Robinson's and leading department stores nationwide.

Samsung's 2View ST550 & ST500 Digital Cameras are Double the Fun
It's double the fun this Christmas season with Samsung's recently released 2View models.
I got the chance to visit their booth last week in SM Mall of Asia and got to take a closer look at the ST550 & ST500 models. At a handy size, it has a shouting 12.2 mega pixels.
I actually saw the Samsung 2View ST550 already last month in Singapore when fellow blogger Noemi Dado was carrying one in our Singapore trip for the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards. She was taking photos and videos with it.
It was fun seeing yourself in the frame even if you are the one being shot. I guess it's quite unique with its 2 wide LCD panels, one in front and one at the back. It's front LCD helps you do the trick as you can easily frame and angle yourself in the photo.
The back LCD is for the photographer while the one in front is for self-shooting ideal for couples and children.
It's two-tone matt and shiny body also makes it look extra hip.
Another interesting feature is the autoshoot-smile. Upon smiling, the gadget detects your smile and automatically takes the shot without you pressing any button. That's why Noemi kept saying 'smile' even without doing anything (pressing button).
It's also ideal for taking photos of children with the Child Mode which creates fun, engaging animation that attracts children’s attention and provokes them to make special expressions. :)
Other features include gesture UI, 'Tap and Take', and Smart Auto.
Click here for more photos of the SM MOA Booth.
The Samsung 2View ST500 and ST550 is available at all photo shops nationwide retailing at Php21,990 and Php 16,990 respectively.
Aside from the price, the only difference between the two models is the screen size and resolution with ST500 having 3.0" wide LCD and 230K resolution while ST 550 has 3.5" wide LCD at 1152K resolution.

World Pyro Olympics 2009 Cancelled
Sadly, the World Pyro Olympics 2009 has been canceled and is rescheduled for January 2010. This was after the weather did not cooperate with last weekend's fireworks display.
The two shows from Germany and China met some rainy weather at the Fort Bonifacio grounds causing it to be delayed. Albeit the show went on a little bit later, the fireworks was still spectacular. It might have been better though if there were less clouds.“Due to safety considerations in the firing site, the WPO executive committee decided to reschedule [it]...in January next year,” says Arriane Dizon, World Wide Womb for WPO Marketing Assistant.
Four more shows are supposedly scheduled for the next 4 weeks."The incessant rains...have rendered the firing area almost unfit for pyrotechnics launching which have certain standards to observe. The participating countries have thus greed to postpone the event."
Ticket holders with inquiries can call their hotlines 568-6908 and 384-0239 or check out their website (quote source) here. Stay tuned for the final schedule of the World Pyro Olympics 2009.

New Moon Better Than Twilight?
After getting a lot of flack again from a number of film critics just like its predecessor Twilight, I think New Moon deserves to be compared to the former instead.
From someone who got to watch New Moon without watching Twilight, I think the movie was actually a good one for its target audience - the romantically inclined movie goers.
Although the die-hard book lovers would expectedly point out missing scenes, I believe that the story line was able to hold viewer interest throughout the movie's twist and turns.
I particularly liked the werewolves-protect-Bella-from-vampire shots and the brief action sequence where Edward had to defend Bella (Kristen Stewart) from the elder vampires. Weird enough, a visionary affirmation from Alice was anough to give them freedom.
Bad Scenes
Anyhow, the movie obviously had some lousy scenes as well highlighted by the dreamy sequence where Edward was running after Bella in the woods in jestful . . . slow . . . mo . . . tion. I think it was the most 'cheesy' and unnecessary scene in the movie. It should have been edited-out. Period. (it caused the viewing audience last night to break out it laughter, or perhaps in disgust).
As many girls shriek at Jacob's abs (Taylor Lautne), his acting abilities was the lousiest among them all. You can feel in his facial gestures alone, the unnatural expression of his supposed love for Bella required from the script.
Funny Observations
Guy viewers accompanying their girlfriends should just watch out for the moviehouse-girly-shrieks everytime Jacob removes his shirt. :)
I also observed that Edward Cullen and Bella seem to use the same lipstick. :)
New Moon
The movie also stars Dakota Fanning with a few minutes of exposure and red eyes. Regular movie screening of New Moon starts today locally. This sequel's running time was also obviously longer than Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight.
Generally, New Moon is a feel good romantic-fiction fantasy between humans, werewolves and vampires. The closing scene was successful in instilling a strong anticipation among the viewers and fans. Edward and Bella supporters are surely looking forward on the third installment.

Go Eco-Friendly This Christmas!
I don't usually post about personal fab finds here in Digital Manila. However, I recently came across some interesting products from Echostore while meeting with some friends at Le Bistro.
In particular is this antibac hand sanitizer spray which smelled really good after application. The label also indicated no harmful chemicals used. It turns out that Echostore's environment-friendly products advocates sustainable lifestyle by using non-chemical based ingredients and natural/recycled packaging materials.
Green Baskets as Christmas Gifts
What made it more interesting were their Green Baskets. These are group-packaged products in Green Baskets made by communities with reusable and natural materials.
I thought that these would make great alternative Christmas gifts instead of the usual ones we give or receive every Christmas season.
They are available in variety sets with different people in mind. They have Green Kitchen Partners, Green Baby and Green Mama Delight for the family and home.
They also have the Spa Starter Kit for those who want some pampering and my favorite - the Green Starter Kit. Nicely packed in a designed utility box, it consists of a sugarcane-based hand sanitizer, Eucalyptus insect repellant spray, pocket healer balm, 60 Moringana capsules, and an orange room & linen spray, among others.
It would be noteworthy to mention that plastic wrap boxes they use are actually recycled plastic crate strap boxes made by the members of Pamana Pagasa Livelihood Enterprise assisted by the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship Education (I4SEE) and the Marie Eugenie Solidarity Foundation.
The Waterliliy baskets are from the Las Pinas which turned the problem of waterliliy over-abundance at the Zapote River into a livelihood program.
Moreover, the magazine boxes are rolled recycled magazines produced under the guidance of Filipinas Fair Trade Foundation (FFTF) while the Corn Husk Baskets are made from woven recycled corn husks by the farmers of Basista, Pangasinan - imagine all those sources!
They have branches in Serendra at The Fort and The Podium in Ortigas Center, Pasig. Please add P70 on the indicated prices for the packaging cost which includes the ribbon, ECHOstore tag, and cellophane.
You may place pre-orders with two weeks lead time and 50% down payment. Items in the catalogue above are subject to availability from the supplier.
So if you're looking for eco-friendly gifts for your loved ones, you might consider buying Christmas gift baskets at Echo Store!

After months of eliminations and performances in different parts of the Philippines and a week-long workshop in Boracay under the mentorship of music experts and top celebrity bands, the search for this year's ultimate new band was concluded with Eevee bagging the P250,000.00 cash.
