Since iBlog 4 which I first attended, this was the first time the iBlog conference was divided into a two-day installment - April 16 & 17, 2010.
Even though I was not able to attend the second day, the first day was information packed as topics on "Tapping Bloggers to Generate Buzz", "Advertising in Blogs", "SEO & Blogging to Promote Your Business", "Measuring Blog Buzz", legal concerns, blogger & advertiser win-win relationship, and "Online Attraction Marketing" topics were discussed. Guest speakers were Abe Olandres, Ivy Jean Vibar, Francis Gary Viray, Carlo Ople, Emerson Bañez, Diana Paterno, and Manuel Viloria.
It was targeted for businesses and entrepreneurs who wanted to understand blogs as a medium to promote or advertise their products and services. As a result, about half of the attendees were from the advertising and public relations (PR) industry.
Speakers for day 2 were Hannah Villasis, Vince Golangco, Juned Sonido, Emerson Bañez, Racquel R. Cagurangan, Marck Ronald Rimorin, Noemi Dado, Jinoe Gavan, Joseph Gonzales, and Marhgil Macuha. They covered the topics of Blogging 101, Video & Photo Blogging 101, Blog Policies, Blog on Political & Election Blogging 2010, Blog Contests, Impact of Blogging, and Making Money Online.
I estimate the total attendees at almost 250 with a mix of amateur and professional bloggers. For more information on iBlog 6, check http://iblogph.org/2010/02/15/get-ready-see-you-at-iblog6/.
