‘A New HP World' of Notebooks and PCs Introduced

HP revealed a new lineup of redesigned consumer notebooks, PCs, and monitors at the recent ‘A New HP World' in Manila that seem to complete an HP computing ecosystem.

Opening with welcome remarks was HP Philippines Country General Manager Albert Mateo (Personal Systems Group).

This was immediately followed by a representative of Intel who discussed the new Intel microarchitecture with 2nd Gen Intel core processor family like the current Sandy Bridge (32nm).

“From enjoying music, to playing games, to enabling intuitive touch experiences, the new range of consumer notebooks and desktops offers style, performance, entertainment and security features that work together to present a seamless connected experience," said Albert Mateo.

Highlighted in the event were the redesigned HP Pavilion notebook PC line and the new HP TouchSmart610 Consumer PC which were inspired from HP‘s MUSE (Materials, Usability, Sensory appeal and Experience) design philosophy inclusing a mix of materials such as metals, alloys and plastics.

The new HP Pavilion dv series notebook PCs now include the HP CoolSense Technology, HP TrueVision HD webcam, HP SimplePass, and Beats Audio (in some models).

The new HP Pavilion dv4 is available with up to second-generation Intel® Core™ i3, i5 or i7 processors(3) and optional AMD Radeon™ graphics(3). Beats is created by digital music experts Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine themselves. The signature Beats sound was applied .to provide the optimal sound experience through the headphones or external speakersm or the on-board qu ad speakers.

It comes in a stylish Espresso Black lattice imprint ans measures from 1.11 -inch thin(4) & weighs from 2.2-kilos(5). An integrated six-cell battery provides up to 6 hours of battery life(7).

The HP Pavilion g-series and dm1 were also exhibited.

Desktops: HP TouchSmart610

The wide-angle 23-inch diagonal high-definition (HD) HP TouchSmart 610 Consumer PC can recline up to 60 degrees and tilts forward up to five degrees. This increased range of motion, flexibility, and freedom, together with the multi-touch technology, provides consumer comfort in longer-term use and can even work as a kitchen counter.

The LED backlit LCD screen also provides optimal viewing angles. Touch-optimized applications include Facebook, Twitter, as well as HP‘s exclusive RecipeBox. While it features Beats Audio, webcam and music applications can also be added via the TouchSmart Apps Center.

Other interesting PC appliance include the HP x2301 Micro Thin LED monitor, HP Compaq 8200 Elite, and the HP MultiSeat t150 Thin Client.
