And the Samsung Mobile Phone Winner is....

Today is the day we announce the Abenson's Paskong Pinoy Online Promo where we will be giving away a Samsung mobile phone to one of the 101 comment participants.

First, thank you all for participating. It took me and my guest blogger more than three hours in total to read through all the comments. Although they are just comments, some entries were as long as a blog post. :)

Second, I would like to reveal my mystery guest blogger judge. She is a known fashion blogger in the online community with Style and Relax. She is a now a new mom blogger and has started her own new mommy blog Mommylace.blogspot.com. Thank you Lace Llanora for helping out co-judge this contest.

Many entries were very creative and convincing on how their chosen Abenson Christmas Package fits the Paskong Pinoy lifestyle. Many cited the Pinoy's love for food and cooking this holiday season, as well as their fondness for music and the television.

We first identified the outstanding ones and ended up with the Top 16. They are: (in no particular order) animetric, shalomsiy, adriancajayon, Heidi Lanzador, ellenjoycastel, heartlocks19, Cheftonio, silverscreensurfer, ellenjoycastel, vivianaguilar, calai618, joysantos, Bryan, Rina Alcantara, mprrortega, philos).

However, just like in any contest, there is only one emerging grand winner. The total scores actually ended up with a tie between two entries. It would be impractical to give them half phones each so I had to break the tie and choose one winner.

And the Abenson Paskong Pinoy winner whose Christmas and New Year will be merry and bright with a new Samsung mobile phone is mprrortega whose entry came in 10 minutes before the end of the contest. :) And her entry is:

You would be contacted by Digital Manila through your email on how to claim your prize and the model they would be giving. Honestly speaking, I think you would be able to claim this sometime January of 2010. This is because we have to process your prize in cooperation with Abenson itself and PR company Geiser Maclang after the holiday frenzy. But look at the brighter side, you'd have a brand new spanking Samsung mobile phone with the entry of the new year! :)
